Pastor James Henricks
Pastor James comes to St Michael from South Carolina, where he served the synod as the Director for Evangelical Mission. He and his wife Christina were foster parents to 18 children and now are busy taking care of their daughter, Diana.
Pastor James has a Masters in Theology from the University of Helsinki, where he studied in their Religion, Conflict, and Dialogue program. With his background in conflict studies, he has worked to help congregations through conflict and contributed a chapter to the Lutheran World Federation’s publication Blessed are the Peacemakers. Pastor James has also completed a Masters of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary and a bachelors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
You may see him in his free time reading a book, running around his neighborhood, or finding a good place to hike.
